Parish Councillors are members of the local community who want to do something positive and aim to make a difference by influencing decisions that affect your village. They volunteer to work on your behalf, serving to improve the quality of life and our local environment.
The Parish Council meet every other month and minutes can be seen on the Minutes & Agendas page. Agendas are also posted on this website, as well as on the village notice board at the bus stop. The Parish Council’s role is to represent the interests of the whole community, so resident’s views are highly valued.
Residents can get involved in a number of ways:
- Come along to a Parish Council meeting – it’s your right. There is a public participation section at each meeting, where people can bring issues or questions to the Parish Council’s attention.
- Volunteer to be a Parish Councillor – when we have a vacancy to fill, we would love for more people to join us – just email the Clerk for more details or speak to one of the Councillors.
- Take time to read the Parish Council minutes to find out what is covered at the meetings.
The Parish Council meets in Jan, March, May, July, Sept, Nov – the meeting dates for this year are on the homepage.
