Reducing the Speed Limit in Burrough End
The Parish Council are planning to submit an application to request for the speed limit through Burrough End to be reduced to 30 or 40 mph.
This will be done via the annual Local Highway Improvement (LHI) initiative, which is ran by Cambridgeshire County Council. More details can be found on the links below.
As part of the application, we are also considering including ‘buffer zones’ and ‘gateways’.
We’re very keen to hear the views and thoughts of local residents, especially those in Burrough End – please email these to the Parish Clerk at clerk@burroughgreenparishcouncil.org.uk
Please send in your comments before Thursday 22nd July 2021.
The aim is to agree the application at the next Parish Council meeting (Monday 26th July), prior to it being submitted to the County Council for thier consideration.

‘Gateways’ are the white fences which are placed on the verge, where speed limit changes take place on the entry to villages. Examples can be seen in Burrough Green and Dullingham.
